MCU v Little Man
Hey, look, I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I want to talk about why, because there are things about how the MCU has built itself that I’d love to see other franchises learn and execute, but today isn’t that day.
As new films have come out, I’ve done what you do when you’re obnoxious: re-rank all the films. Sure, rankings are mostly garbage, but it’s fun, and it’s a way to give people an idea of what you, personally, key into. But there are just too many films for rankings to work even for that. It’s time for something new. Something better.
Enter: The Little Man. What’s The Little Man? I’ll let Roger Ebert explain, but the short version is that it’s a way to rate movies not with stars, but emotional reaction. It’s cool. It works. Everyone should use it. So I’m taking my own advice, and using it for the MCU.
Off we go.
